| Tourism & Heritage Partnership |
| | | The Thetford Tourism and Heritage Partnership was launched in June 2003 thanks to funding from European Objective 2, Thetford Council, Breckland Council, Norfolk County Council, EEDA and the Keystone Development Trust.
The Partnership aims to encourage and increase tourism to the town and surrounding area to help boost the local economy, support small businesses and improve the quality of life for local people.
Projects have included developing a series of town trails including the hugely popular Dad's Army Trail, creating a tourism website, building a library of professional photographs, producing information boards at key locations, improving tourism signage in the town and organising three visitor events each year.
Funding for the the Project comes to an end in December 2006, however the Partnership will continue to meet to discuss tourism and heritage issues in the town.
